 An Awakening

Sometimes we forget

What it means to be gentle with ourselves

How to love ourselves with the kindest love

How to speak to ourselves with the softest words

We forget that we need healing within

That we need those words of advice we throw at others

We forget to forgive ourselves like we forgave others

We forget to impress ourselves and beautify our souls

We no longer do things for ourselves

We forget that we are our own homes

A temple that deserves attention and affection

That needs to be placed first

That should be rid of negativity

That needs focus and goal setting plus sunshine

And inner peace and calmness

My dearest I tell you to remember to do what pleases you

You need more love from yourself

You're the master of your own destiny

Because your certainty and value lies within you not somewhere else
